In the wake of a shooting in Las Vegas, Democrats demanded more gun control. Republicans, who oppose new firearms laws, offered condolences and prayers. The question is, what is the most safest and secure outcome for the safety of our country, action or praying? While I'm not a democrat or a republican, both parties have valid reasons over their issues with gun control.
As the news of the massacre in Las Vegas spread through out the Internet, plenty of liberals like Elizabeth Warren posted on Twitter something among the lines of "Thoughts & prayers are NOT enough. Not when more moms & dads will bury kids this week, & more sons & daughters will grow up without parents."
This caused many conservatives to accuse Democrats of politicizing a tragedy. But with Republicans monopolizing power in the White House and in Congress, chances of reform appear less promising for Democrats. Many Republicans sincerely believe their stance on the gun issue is fundamental to the character of America itself, which Democrats currently think to be the opposite. Although, both have valuable points, there is no telling what the future holds for America other than a delay for change of gun rights. I'm honestly in between in terms of political stance. So fellow readers, what side are you on?
